GunUpdate uses artificial intelligence to identify your firearm from a photo and instantly show you compatible accessories from multiple stores. Here's how to get the most out of it.
Step 1: AI Scan
Go to the Scan page and upload a clear photo of your firearm. Our AI identifies the brand, model, and caliber in seconds. For best results:
- Use good lighting
- Show the full gun (not just a part)
- Avoid cluttered backgrounds
- The gun can be on a table, in your hand, or in a case
Step 2: Browse Accessories
After identification, you'll see all compatible accessories organized by category — optics, grips, lights, magazines, holsters, and more. Each listing shows current prices from verified stores.
Step 3: Use the Gun Builder
On any gun model page, click the interactive silhouette to explore accessory zones. Click on the optic rail to see compatible sights, click the grip to see grip options — it's like building your dream setup visually.
Step 4: Save to Your Arsenal
Create a free account and save your guns to "My Arsenal." Track what accessories you own, what you want to buy, and get personalized recommendations.
Step 5: Set Price Alerts
Found an accessory you want but the price is too high? Set a price alert and we'll email you when it drops. We check prices from partner stores every hour.
Step 6: Share Your Build
Built an awesome setup? Create a Community Build to show it off. Other users can rate, comment, and even clone your build for their own gun.
