Original Item: Made from strong olive drab rot-proof cord in a 1" mesh, these nets were designed to be worn over the soles of the boots in order to deaden the noise and leave an indistinct trail. Used during WWII by the "Special Boat Squadron" and specifically mentioned in the reference work "SBS-THE INVISIBLE RAIDERS" by James D. Ladd (Fontana paperback Page 358). Totally ORIGINAL and unissued, these are an extremely rare commando item from WWII.
